Tourist vehicles 50 years in Finland

In the 1960s, when the evening got dark, more light for the caravan was obtained from one gas lamp, nowadays from a few dozen LED lamps. Heat for the wagon could be taken at night from bricks heated with a gas stove. Now the central heating of the carriage can be easily started with a phone call.

This history of the Travel Vehicle Industry has stories and photos from five decades. There is information about caravans and motorhomes manufactured in Finland, imported here and used here. The biggest development results can be found in the equipment of the vehicles. The result has often been safer, more efficient and easier to use, for example, in the kitchen, washroom or heating device. The book also tells about Finnish pioneers in the manufacture, import and sale of these vehicles.

Anssi Siukosaare has accumulated knowledge and experience about the vehicles themselves and their use, both with the family and as a test driver, and on the other hand also as a journalist who has been following the industry for the longest time in Finland.
