In 1972, Oy Konela Ab, inspired by its other sales, began to import Soviet-made heavy four-stroke 650cc Ural motorcycles to Finland. About 50 Ural motorcycles were brought to Finland by Konela. The Urals quickly turned out to be outdated and unreliable motorcycles, and Konela quietly stopped importing them.

In 1983, one of these Urals accidentally ran into a 21-year-old youth from Porvoo. Ural and this young man became an inseparable couple. The shared journey of the motorcycle and its owner, rich in stages, has now continued for more than 40 years.

This book is their story. A story with plenty of interesting plot twists, from work assignments in Africa to domestic night driving with the ignition current of a 4.5 volt battery.
In all these years, the motorcycle has left its owner on the road only once.
