Honda introduced the CB750 Four to the world at the end of 1968. The world's first Superbike was enthusiastically
applauded. To capitalise on this, Honda released the CB500 Four in 1972, and the smaller CB350 Four later in the
same year. Both machines followed the same format with four-cylinder overhead cam engines, five-speed gear box,
and disc front brakes. The CB350 Four was the Prince of Honda's four cylinder superbikes. It's 347cc engine
giving a turbine smooth 34bhp at 9,500 rpm. Weighing in the red corner at just 373lbs, and with the gloves on, it
gave you an angelic and nimble machine with superbike performance and miles of pure motorcycle fun. It's four
mufflers giving a quiet whispering exhaust. Motorcycling at its best! I have always thought that the baby four was
among the nicest looking machines that Honda ever produced. But it was never imported into the UK. We had to
wait until 1974 for the introduction of the Super Sport CB400F. Producing 37bhp at 8,500 rpm and a sporty
four-into-one exhaust, the 400 Four gained an impish little rascal image. It would buzz you through the twisty
country lanes and come back with a smile on its face. The 400 fours have always had a cult following simply
because they are fun to ride. Motorcycle engineering at its best.

The CB350 & 400 bikes have always had a cult following simply because they are fun to ride. This is a book of
